Dr. Benson completed her fellowship in geriatrics at Carolinas Healthcare System Blue Ridge in Morganton, N.C., and her residency in family medicine at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. She attended medical school at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. In her free time, Dr. Benson enjoys painting, music, reading, travel, movies, yoga and cooking healthy foods.
